Empowering Farmers with Award-Winning Harvest Revolution

13 February 2024- Diving into Raven Cart Automation™ Technology and Its 2024 Award Recognition

At Raven, our passion for innovation and breaking new ground is what motivates us to continue building advanced technology solutions that help farmers feed the world. The 2024 AE50 Award for our groundbreaking Raven Cart Automation™ solution is a testament to this commitment. The ASABE AE50 Awards are determined by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) and honor the year’s top 50 innovations engineered for the food and agricultural industries.

Raven Cart Automation makes it easier for harvest operators to run an unload-on-the-go operation by synchronizing the grain cart to the combine’s heading and speed. After Raven Cart Automation puts the grain cart in the perfect position beneath the combine unload tube, the combine operator is given full control of the grain cart position. This reliable control reduces operator training time, prevents avoidable grain spills, and eliminates unnecessary cross-cab communication - resulting in reduced operator stress. In small grain, tests have shown reductions in stress of 33% for combine operators and 22% for tractor grain cart operators on average. Instead of putting pressure on your harvest operators to run error-free, trust Raven Cart Automation to reduce stress and maximize profits during harvest.

The innovation for Raven Cart Automation was driven by the need to provide customers with a reliable, easy-to-use harvest assist solution. It uses a local radio connection to synchronize the tractor and harvester, instead of local wi-fi networks – which can be unreliable in the field. Raven Cart Automation’s radio-based sync adds system reliability that customers can trust. Additionally, the simple setup of setting a sync point means that customers can seamlessly have machines join or leave a job site without time-consuming configuration changes.

This groundbreaking advancement in harvest operation is a success story for our customers. Throughout the design process, the team worked closely with farmers around the country to gather feedback and listen to the challenges they were facing. Having customers willing to test the solution and be a part of the product development is what leads to innovative solutions that solve real challenges.

Raven Cart Automation’s stress reduction, ease of setup, and high reliability reflect CNH’s commitment to working as One Team toward engineering excellence. By working with our customers, we’ve been able to design a solution that customers can trust as they embark on their path to autonomy.
